You and your students are invited to attend the 2024 Children's Water Education Festival, held in March 27-28, 2024 at the University of California, Irvine. Registration is open to third, fourth and fifth grade Orange County teachers and their students. There is no cost to attend.
The mission of the Festival is to educate students about water-related
and environmental issues that support Next Generation Science
Standards. The Festival teaches youth that they can make a difference
in protecting our water resources and the environment for today,
tomorrow and for future generations. Year after year, teachers return
to the Festival with their classes to engage in this unique educational
Selections are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Once we reach
capacity, subsequent applicants will be placed on a waiting list. We
strongly encourage you to submit your request as soon as possible.

Consideration to participate in the Festival is dependent on each
teacher's commitment to:

ineligibility of your class to attend the Festival and any subsequent
The Festival is a unique and invaluable learning opportunity. We do not
want schools to miss out on this exciting event due to a lack of
funding for transportation expenses, so we will likely be able to
subsidize a portion of the cost of transportation for schools that are
truly in need. The subsidy will depend on the total number of requests
received and the funds that are available.
